Using Linux Install Windows XP with Network booting PDF Manual

This article shows how you can use a Linux based infrastructure to deploy Windows XP images to machines on your network. This section provides a brief overview of the architecture that is used to achieve the deployment and a list of prerequisites for the procedure.

• You need two computers: a server and a client.

This paper describes using the Debian GNU / Linux as a server. Other variants of Linux or Unix work as well, but you should be aware that installation details may vary. We begin by taking one of our lab machines, LAB2-17, and installing a copy of Debian on it. We will install the “Sarge” (testing) distribution of Debian.
