Restoring Your Operating System. You can restore your operating system in the following ways:

Connecting the drive Connect one end of the power cord to the power supply socket on the back of the external drive and the other end to an electrical outlet. Attach one end of the USB cable to the port on the back of the drive and the other end to an available USB port on the back of your desktop or notebook computer. To attach and charge the battery
1 Move the UNLOCK/LOCK latch on the bottom of the computer to the UNLOCK position.
