Epson 3800 Printer Getting Started With Inkjet Printing PDF Manual

Inkjet printers have made significant progress over the last few years: contrast is higher, colors are more saturated, and print longevity is better than ever. On the other hand, finding all the right settings to make a great print can be an exercise in frustration. At times, the world of inkjet printing seems like alchemy: if you twist this knob, flip that switch, and check the phase of the moon before feeding the paper to the printer, then you might – just might – get a print that matches what you saw on your display!

Xerox X2 TECH X2 Graphic Printer Engineering System PDF User Guide

X2 supplied products are all direct-write, specially coated materials that vary in coating structure, physical properties (such as basis weight and
overall product thickness), and base material type (such as paper, fabric, film or vinyl). These variances not only cause the printer setup for each
material to be unique in order to successfully run each material through the printer, but also cause the achievable image quality per product to be different. The coating layer on each media is different because it must adhere to the individual base material (i.e., thick or porous, smooth or woven) as well as image in either 360 or 720 dpi print mode. Therefore, the image quality will vary per media type.

Print-quality checklist
General print-quality problems can be solved by using the following checklist:
1. Make sure that the paper or print media that you are using meets specifications. Generally, smoother paper provides better results.
2. If you are using a special print media such as labels, transparencies, glossy, or letterhead, ensure that you have printed by type.
3. Print a Configuration page and Supplies Status page. See Print information pages on page 42.
? Check the Supplies Status page to see if any supplies are low or empty. No information is provided for non-HP print cartridges.
? If the pages do not print correctly, the problem is with the hardware. Contact HP Customer Care. See HP Customer Care on page 90 or the flyer that came in the box.
4. Print a Demo page from the HP Color LaserJet CP1210 Series Toolbox. If the page prints, the problem is with the printer driver.
5. Try printing from a different program. If the page prints correctly, the problem is with the program from which you were printing.
6. Restart the computer and the product and try printing again. If the problem is not resolved, choose one of these options:
? If the problem is affecting all printed pages, see General print quality issues on page 73.
? If the problem is affecting only pages printed in color, see Solve issues with color documents on page 77.
