Left fan vent: The internal fan and vent enable air to circulate in the computer and cool the central processor. Note: To avoid impeding exhalation and inhalation, do not place any obstacle in front of the fan. External monitor/projector connector: You can attach an external monitor or a projector to your ThinkPad computer to display computer information. This port can also be used to connect a data projector. Modem connector: You can connect your computer to a telephone line with the modem connector. You need an Internet account to use with this. Ethernet connector: Connect your computer to a Local Area Network (LAN) with the Ethernet connector. Two indicators, to the upper right and the lower right of the connector, show the status of the network connection. Network setup
When connected to a local area network (LAN) through the RJ-45 connector, the projector can be controlled remotely through a Web browser by any of the clients (PCs connected to the LAN) on the LAN. The projector can also be accessed outside the LAN, with a correctly configured firewall.
Cleaning the lens
To clean the lens, complete the following procedure:
1. Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dry cloth. Note: Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner, and do not apply the cleaner directly to the lens. Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals might scratch the lens.
2. Lightly wipe the cleaning cloth over the lens in a circular motion. If you do not intend to use the projector immediately, replace the lens cap.
