BlackBerry Data Services Using Wi-Fi Networks PDF Manual Guide
The BlackBerry ® 8820 enables BlackBerry smartphone users with qualifying data plans to access BlackBerry data services using a wireless network, a Wi-Fi ®, or both networks simultaneously. All BlackBerry data services are available through Wi-Fi networks. • BlackBerry ® Enterprise Server • BlackBerry ® Mobile Data System (MDS) • BlackBerry ® Internet Service • BlackBerry ® Messenger • Personal Identification Number (PIN) messages • Other data services – instant messaging, etc.
Have the option to simultaneously access both a wireless network and a Wi-Fi enables BlackBerry smartphone users to do multiple tasks at once. For example, a BlackBerry 8820 smartphone user can send emails through a Wi-Fi, while making a phone call using the wireless network. A Wi-Fi BlackBerry BlackBerry smartphone can access data services using Wi-Fi networks in two ways. 1. Access across the enterprise Wi-Fi network • Allows optimized for Wi-Fi to BlackBerry Enterprise Server when connected to a Wi-Fi that allows direct access to the router’s IP BlackBerry • direct access to intellectual property as generally only occurs when you connect your BlackBerry smartphone into a Wi-Fi network company. • Wi-Fi BlackBerry Internet Service and additional services is also possible with the appropriate network configuration.

Access via hotspot or Wi-Fi • Allows access to all data provisioning services via BlackBerry BlackBerry ® Infrastructure Configuration • Proper network is necessary. However, in most cases, the default network configuration is the proper setting. See the Network Configuration section below for more details. Each BlackBerry data service connects to the router or BlackBerry BlackBerry infrastructure through the best possible connection or a combination of connections available in the following order. This means that all routes to the router and the BlackBerry Internet are available when connected to Wi-Fi network.
